Bizarrely, my previous review vanished - so I guess I'll leave another one. I'll make sure to post this one on Judge.me, as well. This camera worked great, but the cable got pinched in the cable chain of my Voron 2.4 (a Formbot kit) and failed. After a couple hours of printing, the camera started cutting in and out on Y-axis movement, and then stopped entirely. I pulled the cable back out of my cable chain, which got it working again for a short period, then it failed again (I presume the cables inside just gave up the ghost at this point.)

Now, I assumed fault for this - I probably should have made sure that the cable chain had enough wiggle room to not pinch the cable. No problem - I'll order another cable. However, there isn't one available for purchase on the website, so I emailed their sales team to see how I could get one.

What ensued was a 5 day back-and-forth over email, in which they refused to SELL me another cable, insist I was incorrect in my diagnostic (I currently have the camera working with a soldered together janky cable, so I'm pretty certain what the problem is), and then tell me that aside from not selling the cable separately, that since this is a "DIY product", there is absolutely no warranty - when I was actually just trying to BUY a cable. (So, red flags there, as well.)

Anyway, at the end of this (FIVE days later), they actually DO tell me that they can sell me a cable (they will have to create a one-time purchase link for this), but then tell me that since it's coming from their China warehouse, SHIPPING will be $15. At this point, they have not given me a price for the cable, just for the shipping, and I have been out of my shiny brand-new camera that I got to use for less than 4 hours.

I looked up a competitor, found that they DO sell replacement cameras (with US-based shipping), and they're about $5 more per unit. I declined to purchase the cable, and I decline to purchase anything else from Mintion.

The unit I got was dead on arrival and could not be detected by USB.
Support was unresponsive for weeks at a time. After they did start replying the blame for lack of support was shifted to me. They claimed I shared to little information, although I always promptly replied with everything that was asked at the time.
I am disappointed to say the least. I had to resort to a credit card chargeback to get my money back. I would've rather had a replacement.

The camera quality was great. However, after less than 5 hours of print time, the cable (run through the cable chain on my Formbot Voron 2.4 kit - a very standard Voron build) has failed. I figured that this may be an issue of installation - maybe I got the cable kinked - so I tried to contact Mintion for a replacement cable (to purchase, mind you, I didn't want to try to claim warranty just in case my installation was the problem,) and was told flat-out that they will not sell me another cable.

So I tried to contact technical support, and was told once again that there is no recourse - I need to purchase an entirely new kit if I want this to work again.

That's obviously unacceptable. I can't for the life of me understand why there is no way to purchase a replacement cable, so I'm afraid I have to give this a 1-star review for awful after-sales support. I'll look elsewhere for nozzle cameras for my other printers.

I am very pleased with my tiny Nozzle camera. Found a bracket on Prusa models print web site designed by Neil. Had to alter it a little to fit my fan that it clips on to. Also used a cheap WiFi enderscope unit and app to send picture to iPhone. Works very well with clear picture/video

First camera arrived damaged and would not power on, emailed support with pictures of damaged circuit board and they promptly shipped a replacement unit. Modified the USB cBle slightly for install on Prusa printer. After using for a month I am very happy with the product. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nozzle camera and the built in lighting works great.

Easy to install and setup.
I find the images from the ai snapshot often blurry (probably motion) happy with the product.

I am part of the Obico training, and am using this camera on a StealthBurner cover. The cam is currently experiencing some issues, but when it was working… it was great. According to Mintion support, the camera is having signal/interference issues.
Low points: The cam doesn’t have a guide for V4L2-CTL commands that are defined. My cam video out of the box was very dark and grainy, and required hours of trial and error to get the undefined settings tuned for good clear video. A wiki/github guide with defined commands would have helped greatly.
The onboard LED’s aren’t controllable, or at least Mintion doesn’t tell you how. This would be nice to get some dimming, as my E3Dv6 blue sock is causing some light exposure problems due to being closer to the light source.
The lack of setup guides for klipper/crowsnest is a pain too, it again took hours of trial and error to find the best resolution and streamer protocol to get more than 1-2 FPS to stream.

Pros: if you have a smaller heat block, or the option to mount this further away, it’s crisp and clear with a good internet connection.
The LED’s built in are a big upgrade compared to the similar 3DO cam offering. Plenty of FPC ribbon to reach where you want to install it.

The camera quality is good and setup is easy. When the camera works, it works very well. However, I have found that the ribbon cable, USB cable, and PCB suffer badly from EMF interference. I have found that interference occurs most frequently when the ribbon cable contacts the heatsink in my toolhead, or when the USB cable contacts the toolhead control board. I have solved the EMF issue by applying copious amounts of electrical tape to the ribbon cable, USB cable (near the 4 pin connector to the camera PCB, where the wires are not insulated), and on the toolhead control board. I would recommend that Mintion consider adding more insulation to the USB and ribbon cables. I recommend that users attempt to limit contact between the cable and any toolhead electronics (or metal parts sharing the ground).
